Yes, I admit it….I just couldn’t help myself…I was forced to stop at Habitat for Humanity, on the way home on Monday.
Yep, I went crazy…..
I just started digging, digging and ……
... the more I found! My mind was running a hundred miles an hour, planning, scheming, and creating uses for all this wonderful patina! The cashier just couldn’t stand another minute of my trashing and pickin’….she came over to see what all the fuss was about! “What are you going to do with all that?” lol As if I knew!!! Poor gal, I asked for a discount, as many of the items were marked different prices….well, of course, I wanted the lowest one! She went to her supervisor and when that didn’t work, she went to the boss and got me $.25 each. Yea!
Isn’t this a fantastic color? I just adore it…and it is a perfect match for my back porch! I found this a few weeks back at a new antique store in Spokane, WA. And I found this old label about the same time at a thrift store for a whole $3 with a crooked frame. I collect old fruit box labels and I especially loved the colors in this one. I will take the frame apart and shorten one end and put it back together and it will look like new.
Many of the top items will go to my etsy shop but the rest is all mine!!!! Stop by later and see what I have done with some of these goodies!
Love all that old hardware. You should be able to make a good profit on it. What a find! Where is this "new" thrift shop in Spokane?

ReplyDeleteWould you believe I still have not found those other pieces that I put aside?
