I have a love affair with old trucks. They just fascinate me. Every dent, every faded emblem, all the rust….well, it just does it for me. I am drawn to them like a magnet.
I spotted this baby, at our Greenbluff October Farm Fest.
I found this partially burned out old truck relic, on a trip to Lake Kelso, Idaho in 2010.
This Mack was in Elk River, Idaho, when I was at Girl Camp with my vintage trailer last July.
And my most recent, just a few miles from home. I can feel the itch to add to my stash….maybe soon. I just love RUST….do you?
I’m linking up to these parties…..

ReplyDeleteI think you should write a fictional short story to go with each photo.
ReplyDeletefun pictures and from the looks of those trucks they were worked hard.
ReplyDeleteyears ago when we were cross country skiing deep into the woods we came across a old truck the trees were so grown up around it, it had to have been in there for years and years.

Hi Karen! My nephew's Wyllis (shell) was parked in my mom's yard (behind us) and I wanted it so much for my yard. He wants it to fix it up. I love the way they look and usually the countryside they are in. Great photos and post! Traveling along with Liz on Time Travel Thursday - Jenn

I too love those trucks and the way they smelled inside of gas and the clanging of the doors. The sounds when shifting gears and the rattling of the old-truck sounds.

What treasures and cool shots you got of each of them too. I considered buying a sweet oldie like one of these awhile ago, but I waffled on it and it got snapped up. I'm smitten with them. Thanks for sharing!
