Today I journey to the other side of Washington state, to visit my childhood girlfriend, whom I haven’t seen in 46 YEARS. I found her through the internet (what a place!) and we have been communicating by phone for several weeks.
I have been ill for over two weeks, so I had to cancel our meeting twice (what’s a few more days, after 45 YEARS? right?), but now that I am on the mend, I will be leaving today.
I have so many feelings, I just hope they don’t all come out at once! Wish me luck!
Enjoy renewing your friendship. Breath in the scenes as you drive and remember to take pictures!! Most of all have FUN!!!!!1
ReplyDeleteYou'll be fine. Have fun and drink it all in!
ReplyDeleteSome friends when you reconnect, is like you never parted. You just pick up and go forward. Hope it is like that for you! Have an awesome trip!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so wonderful. Am sorry you have been sick. A couple of years ago I found a family that I had been looking for for years. Sadly, I have not gone to see them as they live in Idaho. But, I have talked with them & written, etc. I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to hear all about your visit. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou will have a wonderful time!!! I recently had a high school reunion (after 35 years), and time melted away. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI hope you had the best of times with your friend Karen. Feel better and enjoy every moment. Last year I ran into a friend I hadn't seen since 1978. We arranged to meet up again a few months later and it was like time stood still.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good time, nothing like friends from our youth.
