We are an eclectic group and I love everything about that. We come from many different life styles, some are married, some single and yet when we get together, it’s like we are sisters, in the true sense of the word. And I am always surprised at how easy and familiar it all feels….and I never had a sister…until now!
I never had a sister. Now in this group I have a bunch of them. Thanks for being my sister Karen, boy are we going to have some fun in Spring!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Thanks for sharing. Hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteI have a sister whom I am very close with, but she works 3 weeks out of each month in London and is only in California for snippets of time each month. My cousin has become like a sister to me.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has no sisters, just a very close brother, so her college/Mammoth ski bums/San Franciso chic girls roommate has been like a sister to her. Now that her "sister" is pregnant they are closer than ever even though they are 400 miles away from one another.
A sister doesn't have to be an actual sister.
How fun that you have such special sister.
We could be sisters since my maiden name was Carol Bates.
We are blogging sisters....haha! How awesome is that?
DeleteHang in there, it wont be long before you can dig out Miss Daisy and hit the road and then come post pictures of the fun you had. Ugh... I am so jealous.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful Karen! I grew up the only girl with 4 brothers! I always longed for a sister! But oh let me tell you, there were fringe benefits to having big brothers too! I married my older brother's best friend!!!
ReplyDeleteThink of you often, and hope you are well.
hugs,
Kris
I was the oldest with three younger brothers, I did all the protecting...ha! I think that is so awesome...brother's best friend! Can't get any better than that!
DeleteMy back is getting better...yay!
We are not pulling the trailers out but we are hoping on a snowcat and headed for a 140 yr old lodge up on Mt Bachelor next month. Can't wait for the laughter, yummy food and of course a little wine. I'm so looking forward to Spring and Wagons HO!!!!

ReplyDeleteHang in there! You'll be together again soon with all your wonderful sisters.
ReplyDeleteHello there,
ReplyDeleteI just found you via images of vintage campers. I am on the hunt! Found one last year that would have been perfect, but hubby thought I was joking when I mentioned it so missed out. He later told me, "You don't need to ask, just get it if you find one you like." He is a doll; I just don't like spending that kind of $ without his knowledge. Boy will he be surprised when he comes home one day:) What a bond that you (all) have formed.
After reading a few of your other posts, I am reminded of something I recently read: Winter is a time to move inward - both physically and emotionally & prepare for the season of spring. I liked that - thought it appropriate (for me at least:)
Will check back soon. Keep well.
I, too have never had a sister...and wish I had a few. If I were on the West Coast...I would for sure have a little camper and be joining you fun loving gals!!
ReplyDeleteOh Bev... I'll start sending Jack 'propaganda emails' of why you need a wee trailer!!!
Deleteand then it will be "Wagons HO!" for you.... :>)
I can just see us (you, Karen & I) letting our 'Gypsy spirit' take lead... and get into Junktiquing mischief
