It’s that time of year when our hearts go out to all our family and friends, we even include our pets in the holiday festivities. And I know that many of you provide gifts and donations for the needy. Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?
I just wanted to ask you all to try and include someone you know at work, a neighbor, a single mom or dad, anyone you know who might not have a place to go on the holiday. You may never know what that could mean to them. Drag them along to see your kids play, have them join in some family games or invite them to have dessert with you. We often think of the elderly when this comes up but be sure and seek out those young people who are not able to be with their families (for whatever reason), depression is a big concern this time of year (and so is suicide) ….try to share your holiday with someone who will be alone.
Keeping you in my heart this week, Karen!...and I love the drag them part...don't just say "what can I do"...just do it!
ReplyDeleteSpending time off this week to seek and embrace new blogs, so happy I clicked the link to come visit yours. Had to become a follower so I could return. Lovely images and your message to day is timely and kind (not my own blog's usual fare, but laughter eases loneliness, I hope)
ReplyDeleteSo correct, I am sure there are many that need someone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great message and reminder to everyone to "spread" the holiday joy.

ReplyDeleteThank you for this sweet blog. Please remember the older folks too who have lost their siblings & maybe don't have children....they'd love a home cooked meal & small talk. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSee how nice you are!! My Grand ma used to say that a kind act lives forever.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas tree is very creative, should be in country living magazine.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
