If you know me at all (from my blog) you know that when I saw this old wagon wheel, that it had to come home with me! She gave me such a good deal…I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT!
And a couple other things….the two large boxes up in the right hand corner and the cow skull on the feed container. The large box has writing on it in several places. I loved that funny name on the Joe Toe label. I just love old boxes, the scared and knotted wood patina, the faded writing…the old nails…a real treasure…my kind, anyway.
It was a fun day, filling the Chicken Mansion. More to come….I plan on a good cleaning and then some Christmas decorations for my girls….stay tuned!
I’m linking up to a few fun parties….
I see you've been at it again . . . and WITHOUT ME!!!

Great finds!!! Love the wheel, and the old boxes. I got two very old wooden apple crate boxes a few months ago, and I too, love the craftsmanship, the old nails, the worn edges...love it!
ReplyDeleteI am playing catch up, and read your previous posts. Love the dishcloths. Your pupper is so cute!!! Is he wearing a no bark collar?
Hope you have a stupendous day!
Kris

Those are good finds, what is your plan for the wagon wheel? Boy when I think of all the old boxes and wheels and other good stuff that was on the farm I grew up on!! To late now. darn.

Cow skull!!! Only you, dear Karen, only you!! HAHA! Actually, your finds are all very cool! I still want to go thrifting with you some day!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good day,

What a fabulous old wheel. I can only imagine the miles it's traveled and the places it's been. I'm sure the girls will have the best decorated coop in the entire state.
ReplyDeleteLove all your goodies...they all look great in the space! Love the old wheel!
ReplyDeleteThe mansion is looking so good, Heck...even I would love to live there. I was wondering if you were going to decorate for the girls.
ReplyDeleteYou find the most awesome things. Love the JoeToe box too.
You've made some great purchases again.....can't wait to see how you decorate for your girls.
ReplyDeleteLove your pretties. (As Grandma used to call them.) I see all of that insulation. We live in Indiana and the man I live with claims our chickens will be fine (in a barn side room with plastic over the windows- no insulation)- basically the building is tin and wood. I say they need a heat lamp. what do you think?
