I live in the Eastern part of Washington State…on my very own place….13 acres of it, in a 106 year old farm house and I love it. It is hard clay soil not good for much…a constant battle with weeds but the battle for the simple life, just keeps me going.
It must be in my nature, this desire for the country, big spaces…’cause it’s where I want to be. I am fortunate..I love it here. It is never the same from day to day, it can be a harsh environment, at times, one must be poised..always ready for the unpredictable elements. I am after all, in the country.
It’s God’s country,
it’s so beautiful….
and I love it! I am having a thankful weekend, enjoy yours!
You are very blessed to have such a beautiful home and to be so content with it. Thanks for sharing such pretty pictures.

Your home looks absolutely fabulous. I too have an old home which is 112. Love it but unfortunately I'm stuck in the city. Would love to be in the country like you. It looks amazingly beautiful. You are truly blessed. Look forward to some camping with you this summer.

Hi neighbor! Loving reading your blog and loving your vintage trailer even more. Your home and property are beautiful! I, too, live on acreage on the West Plains and also love it. It can be harsh (think: WIND) and it gets a little lonely sometimes, but that's why I have my friends and my girls--3 dogs and 2 cats! Best wishes. ~Karen (yeah, I'm Karen, too!)
