The 150th birthday of the Civil War will be celebrated in Gettysburg this year. This Civil War Re-enactment took place this last weekend in Deep Creek, WA and I was impressed with beautiful setting and the authenticity of this fine event, honoring all our veterans.
Yes, there were even cannons, very loud ones!
I was taking a picture of the circle of smoke that came out of the canon, and look what is in the background on the hill. Looks like the Lone Ranger.
Kinda’ weird, huh?
My friend, Phyllis, I just love her outfit, almost all created by her.
At last, peace in camp but such a devastating loss for both sides.
Looks like they found a good place for me….
Great photos but love the last one! Put a smile on my face!! Was it you couldn't behave????

Loved the photos. Hope you had ear plugs with you. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGolly, Getttysburg is just a stone's throw from us! You should fly out to watch the re-enactment!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's quite a big deal in Gettysburg. They did a lot of work over the past few years trying to get everything to look as it did back then.
They even planted all new orchards where the old ones used to stand. It's like the battlefield turned back the hands of time!
