I never intended to garage sale, I was headed to get some body work done but it was such a beautiful day, the birds were chirping, I was on the South Hill, you know, that really nice area, where you love to garage sale…everyone has one. So….
I found this sweet little souvenir photo album for a buck….yes, a buck!
It even had some fun pictures inside….from the 40’s and 50’s.
Now, how old would that young man in the center be, today? He sure is a cutie pie! Hummmmm….. I think he could have stole my heart. Or would it have been that little guy on the left? Love his smile, too.
I sure got my dollar’s worth, huh?
Another buck purchase! All in a day’s work…not bad, huh?

I'm enjoying reading your post and South Hill keeps ringing in my ears. I know that probably every-other big city in America has a South Hill, but could this one be Spokane, WA. When my daughter was attending Central Washington University, she shared a house on South Hill with 4 of her friends. Getting back to your post, that photo of the children sitting on the steps is fabulous, they look like a motley crew. Oh, I'll bet they knew every inch of the neighborhood and every grandma that liked to hand out cookies. I loved your post on remodeling your Shasta trailer . . . it is delightful. The Sister's On The Fly have been visiting our little town during July, for the last few years . . . what a fun bunch of gals, and their trailers are to die for. Funny now that souvenir photo album from Canada ended up down your way. Regina, Saskatchewan is where all the new RCMP recruits go for their training. I'd say it was a souvenir sold in Moncton, New Brunswick. Often times our Canadian souvenirs are Mountie related; they are almost like a symbol of Canada like the maple leaf or the beaver.

Oh yeah! You did good! I love those old black and white photos and pick them up whenever I can, such a deal at $1. Don't you wonder about who these people are and how they ended up at a garage sale? Kind of sad, but I know you appreciate them.
