Thriftin’ Time Tuesdays

                                                                                                                                                                    mig 004

I just had enough time to throw this together …..before I left to meet up with some Sisters on the Fly, this last weekend.

Yep, I made a tray from an old rusty piece of metal.  I think it might have been an old heater cover.  I collect old handles and knobs and had a set of these I thought were just right.  It fits my Mexican décor in “Driving Ms. Daisy’ my vintage Shasta trailer.  I put it to use right away!

And a garage sale find….I have been on the hunt for one of these paper cutters for over a year.  It a nice size –10 1/2” x 10, perfect for my card making (I’ve already used it this weekend) and it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space.  Oh, and the best part….five bucks!

A daisy waste basket for my ‘Driving Ms. Daisy’ vintage trailer….two bucks.

After…..a new magazine rack for my trailer….one buck, plus paint.

I’m linked up at these parties……

  2. Love that tray with the old handles. It looks like they were always meant to be together. Ms. Daisy is looking so good with her new accessories.

  3. Hey there! Found your blog through a gal named Dena who comments on my blog. But I cannot for the life of me trace Dena to a blog?? If you know a Dena, I would love to be able to comment on her blog. One, to tell her thank you for guiding me here! She said I would love to read about your chicken mansion! I too have chickens, although their digs are more like a modest ranch style home. I love my girls! And then...then...I began going back further and further in your blog posts, and I discover we have so much in common. I sew, quilt, cook, crochet, knit, adore my grands, have grown kids, garden, raise chickens, but when I saw you have a vintage trailer, and go on those ladies only jaunts, I almost flipped! I have been wanting one of those forEVER!!!! I scour Craig's List all the time. We have a motor home, but my lil ol heart so desires one of those little vintage tin cans to girlify and call my very own!!!! There is so much I would love to comment on, but I shall keep it to this for now. I will be back, and I am your newest follower. Do come see me at Simplify!
