I bought 30# of Mung Beans to sprout for my girls; Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, and Rosa Parks.
I was so excited when they were ready a few days later. I took some out and threw them out to the girls, while they were doing their walkabout. Not a lot available for them this time of year…so cold.
To my utter shock and dismay, they didn’t want them at all! What was I going to do with 30# of these?
I tried again two days later and put some raw oatmeal in with them….they ate them right up. Whew!
I love sprouts but couldn’t see eating 30# anytime in the near future.
Lucky and beautiful chickens! Your girls pose perfectly for your camera! Sunshine and all! Good that they will help you eat up those sprouts! Have a great day, Karen! Luv ya lots!
