I found this old nail keg a while back and was saving yardsticks for a project…I wanted to make a tray….which I did. Don’t you just love the color of that keg?
Actually, I made two yardstick trays. I was having a lot of fun!
I found a cheap tray and box at the thrift store, cut the rulers to fit and added some vintage drawer handles. I always keep a supply of them…they are just so fun.
So cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo stinking wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the BOOTS!!!! They ROCK! But funny you should mention it because I have a bunch of old yardsticks. I don't even know where I got them but now I know what to do with them! Those 2 trays/boxes are the bees knees!!!! Too vintage and cute! I love them. Did you think of that all by yourself? Amazing! They turned out so great! I agree with Barb's comment! LOL! Did you stain them or were they like that and did you seal them with anything afterwards? I want a tutorial! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI've been on the lookout myself for some yardsticks. My mom used to keep her's next to the fridge in the corner. I wish I had it, but I think it was there in case she needed to pop me on the azzz with it!
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
I want that nail keg!!! Fun yardstick projects!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way your 2 trays turned out. Have you seen the new Country Living, they have a table and 4 chairs made out of yardsticks. It just rocks!
ReplyDeleteThey look really good, that's so clever xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative! I would have never thought of this. I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to pick your brain sometimes when I find items I just cant throw out.
They sure are!! They add so much character and each one has a story to tell. They're really getting hard to find around here and expensive when I do find them.
