Simple Things

            dash 011

When you get to be my age, simple things mean a lot.  No fancy clothes, parties, or any kind of night life…nope, I just like the basics.

A soft pair of jeans, a sweatshirt…my mud boots or tennis shoes…I’m good to go.

I love hanging out at home with my friends.

One of my favorite hangouts…The Chicken Mansion!

My second favorite, Driving Ms. Daisy, my 1969 Shasta vintage trailer!  (She will be home this week…I can’t wait.)

It’s just so sweet…I am so lucky.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for the wonderful birthday wishes.  You are the very best.  I lost my blog on Wednesday (nice birthday present!) and I was devastated at the thought of losing all my blogging friends.  You truly mean so much to me…friends are one of the basic essentials!  So glad I got you back!!

  1. Good morning. My blog disappeared this week as well. Getting it back was stressful, especially since I had typed in the wrong phone number to receive the code to get it back. Yikes, it was awful. My second try was successful using my cell# instead. I feel bad that someone else received a call at 5:30 AM letting them know their activation code. I can only hope they're early birds as well.

  5. I LOVE Ms. Daisy and I want one too! And I am SO with you girlfriend about being comfortable and taking things easy....no alarm clock, eat when I want and what I want, my "girls" and curling up in front of a nice fire and crocheting....gardening....it's all good! Wish you lived next door though!

  10. I could not agree more. I think it is the beauty of age and with that the wisdom to know what matters.
