Headlines! Headlines! An 'Ordinary Thrifting Jaunt turns into Major Spree!' Get your headlines here! Yes, it happened here, Gracie ( katmom4) , in a seemingly nonchalant move, invited Karen (kpaints), to do a little thrifting. A little thrifting!!! 'Little' not really a word that the 'professional shopper' would recognize. Yeah, she use to be paid to shop! Can you imagine anyone else getting that job except Gracie? It so fits!
We embarked in a gentle manner heading to the local Goodwill (Gracie found a wonderful fold up sewing table), from then on it got scary. We went to a seedy part of town and I found the gold bamboo frame for a buck (eat your heart out Nancy Jo!). I got stuff I never would have gotten because Gracie would say 'Oh, Karen you could do this or that with it!' I had to succumb..... I got (or was it Gracie) a wall unit that looks like it has to be in my secret garden after a little make over, and an old wool blanket (in honor of Nancy Jo's felting project, think I'll make a teddy for up and coming grandbaby). Also tagged a bread machine (Gracie happened to have one like it and got me a bread recipe) and it is making bread as we speak. My real splurge is an antique ice cube crusher to match my kitchen! All and all a very good day, looks like I can duke it out with the best of them, what do you think Nancy Jo? :0

  4. Sounds like a fun time has by one an all. Love those special little goodies. Sometime the junkier the shop the better things you will find.
