Trailer Trash Quilt

These are just a few of the fabrics I chose for this quilt. It is an eclectic mix of American Jane Patterns by Sandy Klop for Moda fabrics, Everything but the Kitchen Sink by RJR Fabrics, Aunt Grace "Ties one on II from Judy Rothermel by Marcus Fabrics, and the Roaring '20's and Beyond by Betsey Telford of Rocky Mountain Quilts, Yesterday's Fabrics for Today's Quilters by RJR Fabrics. These are so yummy I could lay down and roll in them.....oh, no my dog, Dash would do that! Sorry!

I chose the pattern at the bottom left for my quilt, it is windmills and I will be making a double. It will almost be a full/double, it's for Trailer Trash my 1959 Aljo trailer, under reconstruction, and naturally, the double bed in there is not a complete full. Well, it will be reconstructed when it warms up enough to work outside!

Cutting all the little stuff.

These are the blocks I will be using, however, I need one more in a red/off white pattern to make 8 blocks. I will be making a border around all of these blocks in a solid color in order to get this quilt wide enough. So maybe I should head out of here to find more fabric, that's the easy part!

  1. Those fabrics are great and so vintage...Your blocks look really good..You have talked about your trailer and it sounds so much like the Aljo my parents had...It was a 15', turq.and white..we used it for camping...Lord that was so many many years ago...

  2. Wow, mine is torquoise and white as well. The floor is greens, white ? and looks like spilt paint! I would love to keep the floor but it is shot. I will post pics of it some time or just send you some. :D
