I Miss My Sisters….on the Fly…

We are an eclectic group and I love everything about that.  We come from many different life styles, some are married, some single and yet when we get together, it’s like we are sisters, in the true sense of the word.  And I am always surprised at how easy and familiar it all feels….and I never had a sister…until now!

  3. I have a sister whom I am very close with, but she works 3 weeks out of each month in London and is only in California for snippets of time each month. My cousin has become like a sister to me.

My daughter has no sisters, just a very close brother, so her college/Mammoth ski bums/San Franciso chic girls roommate has been like a sister to her. Now that her "sister" is pregnant they are closer than ever even though they are 400 miles away from one another.

A sister doesn't have to be an actual sister.

How fun that you have such special sister.

We could be sisters since my maiden name was Carol Bates.

  5. That's beautiful Karen! I grew up the only girl with 4 brothers! I always longed for a sister! But oh let me tell you, there were fringe benefits to having big brothers too! I married my older brother's best friend!!!
Think of you often, and hope you are well.
    hugs,
    Kris

  9. Hello there,
I just found you via images of vintage campers. I am on the hunt! Found one last year that would have been perfect, but hubby thought I was joking when I mentioned it so missed out. He later told me, "You don't need to ask, just get it if you find one you like." He is a doll; I just don't like spending that kind of $ without his knowledge. Boy will he be surprised when he comes home one day:) What a bond that you (all) have formed.
After reading a few of your other posts, I am reminded of something I recently read: Winter is a time to move inward - both physically and emotionally & prepare for the season of spring. I liked that - thought it appropriate (for me at least:)
Will check back soon. Keep well.
