Chicken Spouts

                                  sprouts xmas 001

I bought 30# of Mung Beans to sprout for my girls; Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, and Rosa Parks.

misc 006  I was so excited when they were ready a few days later.  I took some out and threw them out to the girls, while they were doing their walkabout.  Not a lot available for them this time of year…so cold.

To my utter shock and dismay, they didn’t want them at all!  What was I going to do with 30# of these?

I tried again two days later and put some raw oatmeal in with them….they ate them right up.  Whew!

I love sprouts but couldn’t see eating 30# anytime in the near future.

You must have the healthiest fed chickens around! Do these taste good for we humans?

I have seen those at the farmers market and never knew what to do with them. Now I know, I wonder if my picky parrots would love some sprouts?

Your girls are lovely!
