Waiting a Lifetime….

tumblr_mhlad7LNNK1rywysso1_500

Today I journey to the other side of Washington state, to visit my childhood girlfriend, whom I haven’t seen in 46 YEARS.  I found her through the internet (what a place!) and we have been communicating by phone for several weeks.

I have been ill for over two weeks, so I had to cancel our meeting twice (what’s a few more days, after 45 YEARS? right?), but now that I am on the mend, I will be leaving today.

I have so many feelings, I just hope they don’t all come out at once!  Wish me luck!

  4. That's so wonderful. Am sorry you have been sick. A couple of years ago I found a family that I had been looking for for years. Sadly, I have not gone to see them as they live in Idaho. But, I have talked with them & written, etc. I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to hear all about your visit. Hugs.

  15. I hope you had the best of times with your friend Karen. Feel better and enjoy every moment. Last year I ran into a friend I hadn't seen since 1978. We arranged to meet up again a few months later and it was like time stood still.
