There’s a tiny little lake, just about a mile outside Cheney, Washington, and a few years ago, the State made it, once again, an official State Park. It is a great lake for swimming, fishing and boating (no motors). And best of all, it still is a bit primitive and oh, so lovely. There isn’t any more room for homes here, so it should stay like this for a very long time.
I had my camera with me and on my way home from the big city of Spokane, I decided to see what I could find. So I broke into a ‘Closed for the Season’ State Park!!! Well, yes, it was gated and closed….. but there was this little open area on the side of the gate, so what’s a girl to do? I felt pretty mischievous…. for an old lady!
How about a leaf waterfall? I am always amazed that I find so much to photograph in a place I think won’t have much to offer.
Aren’t these just the smoothest mushrooms you have ever seen? I just love that one leaf just sitting there, dripping over the edge!
I am going to add these two pictures that I changed to black and white, while I love black and white pictures I am having a hard time appreciating the ones I have taken. Since they are in color first and then changed I wonder if that effects the way they look. I think so…..what do you think?
It sure does create the illusion of cold, well, it wasn’t an illusion, it WAS cold. Heehee.
You sure have an eye for a great photo. And who says you're an old lady? What does that make me?
ReplyDeleteOMG I wish I was there what a wonderful day!!
