Mary Jane’s Farmgirl Card Swap

My friend, Sharon and I got together for our ‘July’ card making day, on Monday.  We had a great time together.  We tried using textures, layering, working toward a 3D effect.  It was a lot tougher than we thought it would be.  Guess we better take another crack at it…soon.

Here’s my July card which will be hand delivered this time, to a MaryJane Farmgirl, Robin, daughter of the coordinator of our swap.  Hope she likes it.  We are all heading to a roundup of farmgirls from the states Montana, Idaho, Washington and a few outlying areas.  Women of the West, Farmgirls on the Loose are meeting up in different towns and just stopping to visit, chat, eat, spend the night…and move on to meet more wonderful women!  A few of us will bring our vintage trailers (so count on seeing some pictures!).  It is going to be a blast.  I head out next week for Orofino, Idaho.

And these are the beauties that I got in the swap…..gorgeous aren’t they?  I love the banner, perfect for my trailer for the ‘Farmgirls on the Loose’ meet!

And I just have to share some pictures of my girls…Amelia Earhart (White Leghorn), Eleanor Roosevelt ( Buff Orpington) and Rosa Parks  (Black Sex Link) enjoying their new home, in the Chicken Mansion.  They are now eleven weeks old.
