Enjoying a Patch of Sun

pruning 008

My girls do a ‘walk about’ every day, when I am home.  It has been very cold and dark most days….but oh, how they love to huddle up in the sun.  Eating all those bugs in the yard, it’s a lot of work, a girl needs a break…and one in the sun…can’t get any better than that!

  1. We have a family of foxes nearby. I can hear them yipping in the night. They're one of the reasons I don't have a few chickens roaming around. It makes me appreciate your photos and stories all the more. Thanks for sharing them.

  2. I hope we get a patch of sun today, but I don't think it will be warm enuf to sit in the grass. Maybe we need to grow feathers and down?

  4. Love it. We've been a bit cool the past couple of days too. Even got some much needed rain. The bees & hummingbirds are still wanting more sugar water....of which I do oblige. Have a great day.

  6. Your girls have to be the most pampered gals. You can tell they are well taken care of due to their bright eyes and perfect feathers.
