The Vintage Bag Lady

Aren't these just beautiful paintings? I just love Dee Sanchez' work. See her at www.deesanchez.blogspot.com/ Such bright and cheery colors and the outlining just sets everything off. She is in New Mexico and certainly has lovely surrounding to inspire her. I guess I love southwest colors (just look at my newly painted dining room!) and didn't even realize it. I have always thought I just loved natures colors and didn't really think more about it. Green is my favorite color and I use a lot of it. This probably comes from growing up in Seattle, where everything is green even the nickname of 'Emerald City'. Dee's paintings sell so fast that I had to email her and tell her my favorites and she painted two out of the three for me personally and did a wonderful job of capturing what I wanted, Blanket Flowers and Rising Moon. These little guys are 8" x 10" each with the new painted edges technique.
