Thrifting

I just couldn't help myself. What do I need a 1950's lampshade for? Well, you see it matchs the pictures I got so I just saw a whole room theme. I recently bought some lovely 30's-40's type fabric to make a quilt and this all works together! The more I think on this.....I believe it all has to go in my sewing room with the quilt on the wall. Hummm, I will have to think on that some more. It is so fun to create and this is just another way to do it.

  3. Wow! That lampshade is a doozy. I just bought really weird looking chartreuse fifties ceramic nightmare lamp at out local thrift store, it is so hideous, but I'll have to keep my eye peeled for a similar shade. I can see why you grabbed it!

Karen, thanks for your conversation email the other day, I tried to email you through the farm site, but it got bounced back(my kids don't call me electricdunce for nothing). I love looking at all the wonderful things you make...
