Here’s what’s blooming in the Chicken Mansion…..huge eggs…Amelia is producing about two double yolk eggs a week!!!  My three girls produce three eggs a day…sure hope that keeps up.  I will be keeping the light on……for those!

  1. The flowers are beautiful! I am beginning to think I somehow purchased the non egg laying variety of chickens! I went to get feed last week from where I bought them, and asked them about it. They said that in their experience, most won't begin to lay until closer to 6 mo. They are now about 5 and 1 week. Sheesh. Plus, she said that due to the extreme heat, they tend to wait a bit too. So..I wait. But I am getting impatient!!!! Yea for your girls...and yea for eggs. I love those two yolkers!!!

  7. Karen, I am so amazed at your photography. Absolutely stunning. And I do wish my girls would produce double yolkers but with 6 to 8 eggs a day I really should'nt complain.
