A Day of Crafting….

        cards 009

I finally got a full day of card making with my friend, Sharon.   We had a blast and actually got something done.  I made a few notecards.

I seem to have a black and white theme going on…..

And Sharon, gave me this cute little chicken fabric, a while back.  I wanted to make some snail mail for my grandson, Grayson, who’s three.  I think this is perfect, since he loves my three chickens.  I can’t wait to hear what he thinks of this.

Next, I made a few tags for Christmas.  I save all my pretty Christmas cards from previous years and use parts of them for tags.  Years ago I would use the whole front of the card for a tag, I believe that was common, ‘back in the day’.  They used everything!  The background on this tag was some very vintage tissue paper, from the 30’s or 40’s.

I’d be doing this again today, if I didn’t have a Doctor’s appointment and a workout planned.

  1. I know you had your nose seriously to the paper, buttons, etc. but didn't realize how really productive your day was ... and all of them winners. Thanx for the fun day (and the long walk). I enjoyed every minute of it!

  3. As I was reading your blog, I kept saying ohhh, this is my favorite. Then the next picture scrolled up and it was my favorite. But when I saw the 3 girls I knew that was my absolute favorite. Such talent!! I love the tags but I don't think I could put them on packages. In this day and age kids rip open gifts and don't appreciate the time and talent in the wrapping and tag. They probably would end up in the burn pile and that would break my heart. I guess I'm to sentimental!
